1. Who is responsible for your data

ReloopGear (reloopgear.com) is an independent editorial site operated by a single editor. Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) terminology, that person is the data controller for the limited processing described below.

For any privacy question, request, or complaint, email hello@reloopgear.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.

2. What this site does not do

This matters more than what it does, so it comes first.

• No account, no login, no password, no user profile.
• No advertising network, no retargeting pixel, no fingerprinting script.
• No first-party tracking cookie is set by this site. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to on our side.
• No selling or renting of personal data. We have nothing to sell.

3. Server logs

The site is served by Netlify, Inc. Like every web host, Netlify records standard request data when a page is delivered: the requested URL, the time, the referring page, an approximate location derived from the IP address, browser type and operating system, and the response status.

This data is used for one purpose only: keeping the site online and detecting abuse. It is not combined with any other source and is not used to identify individuals. Retention is governed by Netlify's own log rotation policy, which is short-lived by design; we do not export or archive these logs.

4. Email

If you email us, we receive your address, your message, and whatever you chose to include. That message is kept only as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.

This site has no newsletter database yet. The subscribe box opens your own email client and sends a message to us; it does not add you to a list, and it does not create a stored subscriber record. If a mailing list is introduced later, this policy will be updated before any address is collected, and every address will require a confirmed opt-in with a one-click unsubscribe.

We do not send marketing email and do not share your address with any third party.

5. What happens when you click a shop link

Commercial links on this site are routing links. They pass through our own redirect (reloopgear.com/go/...) and then send you onward to a retailer or to an affiliate network. The redirect itself sets no cookie; it only counts nothing and stores nothing.

Once you arrive at the retailer or at the affiliate network, that company may set its own cookies to attribute a possible purchase to this site. Those cookies are first set by them, not by us, and we cannot read them. Typical lifetimes are 3 days for AliExpress-linked programmes and 30 days for most others; the exact value is set by the programme, not by this site.

Because those cookies are set by the retailer, they fall under that company's privacy policy and cookie notice, not ours. If you do not want them, block third-party cookies for shop domains, use a private window, or simply do not click the link. Nothing on this site is gated behind a commercial link: every recommendation is readable without clicking anything.

6. Third parties involved

• Hosting and content delivery: Netlify, Inc. (United States).
• Affiliate networks: Awin (and, where relevant, Admitad). These networks record a click when you arrive from one of our links so that a resulting sale can be attributed and reported in aggregate.
• Retailers: Back Market, Framework, Keychron and other shops we link to. Once you are on their site, their terms and privacy policy apply.
• No other third-party service receives data from this site. There is no analytics vendor, no chat widget, no embedded video player and no font CDN that would see your IP address.

7. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil, California or another jurisdiction with comparable law, you have the right to ask what personal data about you is held, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to or restrict its processing, and to receive it in a portable format.

In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold about you is an email you sent us yourself. Write to hello@reloopgear.com and we will act on a verified request within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Children

This site is written for adults making purchasing decisions and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and it will be deleted.

9. International transfers

The site is hosted in the United States and the operator is based outside the EU. Any data described above may therefore be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses offered by the hosting and network providers.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy was last updated on 23 October 2026. If the way the site handles data changes - for example if analytics or a mailing list is added - this page will be revised first and the date above will change. Material changes will also be noted on the home page for at least 30 days.
